Description
Itinerary:

You leave via the Caprazoppa road tunnel, leaving Finale Ligure and heading towards Ventimiglia, along a flat section of the Aurelia main road SS1, which goes through the seaside towns of Pietra Ligure, Loano and Borghetto. After the headland at Borghetto you head for Ceriale, where you turn right at the second set of traffic lights, following the signs for Campochiesa and Cisano.

Once you pass Cisano sul Neva, you continue through the valley with the same name towards the pretty village of Zuccarello. At this point the road starts to climb and there are a number of not very tight turns. After a few kilometres, watch out for a fork in the road and go right towards Calizzano.

You will climb around a series of breathtaking curves which take you to the interesting area of Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, from which you turn left towards the Colle Scravaion hill.

The climb is not excessive and the first part takes you into woodland. The second part opens out to give views across the hills. From the Colle Scravaion there is a short descent to Bardineto, from which you descend gradually along the valley.

Leaving Calizzano behind you, ride along the valley of Val Bormida, following the directions for Millesimo.

Just before you arrive in Millesimo, turn right towards Osiglia, Melogno where the road climbs gently again until you reach the lake at Osiglia.

Continue to follow the signs for the Melogno hill.

When you get close to the wind farm, turn to the right and descend for several kilometres until you reach the hamlet of Din. From Din you make your final descent, 15 kilometres of wide and enjoyable curves which bring you back to where you started in Finale Ligure.
Directions
This is a route made up of scenic climbs and descents passing the Colle Scravaion hill, the beech woods of the valley of Val Bormida and the lake at Osiglia, with a spectacular return section through the beautiful countryside around Finale, descending the Colle del Melogno hill.
